A warm welcome for Kayleigh

We’ve just employed our 20th member of staff – apprentice Kayleigh Munn, who has started with us as a junior architect and computer aided design (CAD) technician.
Kayleigh, who is 18 and lives in Whiteley, joins us after completing her A-levels at Barton Peveril Sixth Form in Eastleigh.
Her appointment comes as we continue to expand and follow a recruitment drive to meet increased demand for our services.
Bill McAndrew, our Managing Director, said: “Kayleigh has already settled in extremely well.
“She is enthusiastic, keen to learn and a very welcome addition to our experienced and talented team.
“Kayleigh will be a great asset to the business as we see demand grow for our services. We’re looking forward to her developing a very successful career with us.”
Kayleigh is also studying a BTEC Level 3 in Construction and the Built Environment on day release at Highbury College in Portsmouth.
She said: “This is my first proper job in an office environment and it is everything I hoped it would be.
“Everyone has been very welcoming and helpful. There is such a depth of experience and talent here so I will really be able to make great progress.”
She added: “Taking an apprenticeship is a brilliant way to start on a career as it means working and getting paid plus gaining a qualification.”
We have a strong track record in employing and developing trainees, including Lee Sargeant, 33, who has risen through the ranks to director level after joining from school at the age of 16.
Steve Funnell, who has run his own estate agency and holds energy assessment qualifications, joined McAndrew to bolster its chartered surveying department in the summer.
We’re expanding our ranks with up to 10 new staff after a record-breaking year.
As well as apprentices, we’re also seeking chartered surveyors and property asset data taggers to carry out inventories at properties and provide property services support.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you fit the bill.
