And the winner of our charity golf tourament is…..

Estate and letting agents Taylors of Portsmouth triumphed in our 18-hole challenge at Waterlooville Golf Club in aid of Help for Heroes and the Ickle Pickles charity for premature and seriously ill babies.
Its team members then went on to scoop a flat screen TV and a Help for Heroes top in a raffle at a gala dinner in the evening as well as lodge the winning £160 bid for a signed Chelsea shirt.
We hope to have raised more than £5,000 by the time proceeds are counted.
Some 64 golfers teed off in 16 teams, well above the 45 players who took part in the first fundraiser in September 2013.
Our director Ian Lee said: “The day was a tremendous success.
“Great thanks to all those who joined in, sponsored a hole, donated prizes and supported the event in any way as well as all at Waterlooville Golf Club.
“It was a great way to raise much needed funds for two very worthy charities and we’re now looking forward to building on this fundraiser to make our next event even more successful in 18 months’ time.”
Winning skipper Edd Haddock, Taylors of Portsmouth director, was joined in the winning team by guests Lee Hayter, Andrew Simpson and Nigel Blake.
They finished on a score of 94, with the scoring system based on the best two scores from each hole of four players in a team.
Edd said: “Overall it was an absolutely fantastic day and I’m still grinning from ear to ear.
“The whole event was really enjoyable, and the organisation by Ian and the team at McAndrew Martin was superb.”
Our staff welcomed players on the day, handed out goodie bags and also organised the raffle, auction and competitions, while James Bengree, Lee Sargeant, Bruce Scott and Lewis Don flew the flag for us in the tournament.
Local business sponsored holes at £100 a time. They included Brewers the Letting Agent, ADN, Less Tax 2 Pay, Deep South Media, Large and Gibson, McAndrew Martin, Corner Café, Portsmouth Property Association, Bernards, Poseidon, Brunel, Hughes and King, Duncan Mason, Jeffries, Chinneck Shaw, Splice Marketing and Lendy Ltd.
