Bricks in place for Spring bounce
The property market is looking in good shape, according to new figures out today from the Land Registry.
They show an annual increase of 6.7% nationwide, which takes the average property value in England and Wales to £179,492.
Prices in January of this year rose by 1.3% nationwide compared to December 2014. In the South East region the rise was 1.2%. The increase compared with January 2014 was 9.4%.
The sustained strength of the market comes as the industry prepares for the annual ‘Spring bounce’, traditionally when more homeowners place their properties on the market and househunters come out in force.
The long overdue shake-up of Stamp Duty, continuing record low interest rates and falling inflation have buoyed the market with some of the most competitive mortgage rates on offer for many years.
We’ve also seen an uplift in demand for our property-related services as clients draw on our 25 years of experience in property related services, including surveys and architectural design.
Our clients tell us they need a rapid turnaround on the homebuyer surveys so they don’t miss out on their dream property.
A quick and efficient service is just one of the qualities we pride ourselves on as we endeavour to deliver the very best for our clients.
Our knowledgeable and friendly staff are also expert in a comprehensive range of other property related disciplines.
Many homeowners are also capitalising on the low rates to remortgage to re-invest in their home with extensions – we can help you draw up plans and provide project management services.
With the buy to let sector also thriving, we offer a range of services – including fire risk assessments – for landlords and developers.
Our land and new homes department has also reported growing interest as it seeks to progress developments across the south east of the country.
Please don’t hesitate to contact our team for a no-obligation conversation about how we can meet your needs – whatever they are.
Have a good weekend whether you are househunting, preparing your house for market, planning that extension or just relaxing!
