Building bridges across borders: McAndrew Martin’s international success story

The International Division of McAndrew Martin Limited is undertaking a significant scheme of work that showcases our ongoing commitment to creating meaningful social and economic outcomes for the communities we serve. Below are some key examples of what we are doing:

  1. Working with National Crime Agency to enhance key strategic relationships overseas.
  2. Championing greater ‘inclusivity’ by promoting and delivering the “diversity in construction” agenda.
  3. Enhancing sustainability through innovative approaches to underground drainage systems design and installation.
  4. Scaling up our operations on environmental concerns with our tree planting and beach cleaning activities throughout our overseas commitments.
  5. We were recently awarded a significant accolade by becoming a member of the Health In Construction Leadership Group (HCLG).

Our Director of International Operations, Marek Howes, continues to deliver multi-disciplined projects within North Africa and Middle East. As a direct result of these successes, we are contemplating several exciting opportunities – emerging in Europe, Americas, and Asia. We continue to grow and diversify our value proposition abroad with trusted and valued supply chain partners, applying a management-systems approach to social performance and emphasising continual improvement and the upskilling and training of local workforce to improve quality and productivity. Dr Thomas Gould, Director of Governance, has collaborated with Marek to provide the internal framework necessary to unpin the rapid expansion of the division, ensuring that overseas projects are managed correctly in the context of aligning with business strategy and operational excellence.

Marek Howes said, “Our International Division, since being launched in March 2023, has been an amazing achievement and success story to date, and I thank everyone involved for their continued help and support, with future growth trajectory looking promising. Jason Marshall, Managing Director at McAndrew Martin, has been the instrumental driving force, having designed and executed the international strategy. Jason has been the architect of our collective accomplishments, and we all thank him for delivering against his vision, goals and objectives.”
