The aircraft at RAF Northholt – ZD621 – is the only HS125 remaining in existence. It came into service in 1983 and amassed a total of 15,085 flight hours.
ZD621 was used to fly the Queen, Government Minister & senior military officers after coming into service in April 1971. The aircraft also saw service in a communications role in many military operations, including both Guld Wars, Afghanistan and Libya.
McAndrewMartin managed the complete project over a two-month period. Work on the monument included design, laying foundations, brickwork, lighting, arrange a commemorative plaque and site supervision.
It was unveiled at a ceremony by outgoing Station Commander, Group Captain Andy Bacon.
