Sandhurst Military Academy
The Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst (RMAS) was formed in 1947, by the merging of the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich founded around 1747 and the Royal Military College, High Wycombe established in 1799, then transferred to purpose built accommodation at Sandhurst in 1812.
McAndrewMartin were commissioned to carry out RIBA stage designs from 0-4 plus project management of a short high velocity firing range at the Sandhurst Academy. The need was identified during operations in the middle east where close quarter engagement was commonplace. Traditional ranges at Sandhurst were for distance firing only.
