Charity walk raised £5050 for veterans
On 10th December, our Managing Director, Jason Marshall, and his Llangrove Walkers team members successfully completed a 25 mile charity walk to raise funds for Help 4 Homeless Veterans.
Their epic hike took place in the Wye Valley, Wales, and they faced all terrains but everyone made it to the finish line. Together they raised an impressive £5050 – vital funds to support homeless veterans and improve the lives of veterans in need.
Jason received this letter of thanks (below) from the charity’s CEO, Steve Bentham-Bates who also conveyed this personal message to the walkers, “When a veteran tells me but for my intervention having tried and failed to secure help elsewhere they were considering taking their own life as they couldn’t see a way forward, then you know you are doing something really worthwhile. You have helped us to be able to do this, thank you.”
Jason hopes to complete another walk in the summer and has been contacted by many people within McAndrew Martin who are keen to help raise funds on the next walk.
