Flying high at America’s Cup
It’s all systems go for this year’s America’s Cup World Series with organisers announcing the latest attractions to accompany the racing.
Ben Ainslie and sail aces in the home team will be hitting the water off Southsea over the weekend of July 22 to 24.
Meanwhile, the thrills and spills off the water – and in the sky – will include crack teams of aerobatics including the Red Arrows, the Blades Display Team and the Red Bull Matadors.
The Red Arrows will be soaring over the city on Friday July 22 while the Blades will be twisting and turning over the Solent on the Saturday. On the Sunday, the Red Bull Matadors will wow the crowds.
It’s great to see excitement building for this year’s World Series races. The event gives the city a real buzz, not to mention the benefits to the local economy from so many tourists and visitors.
Spectators can enjoy the sailing at close quarters and watch the breath-taking aerial displays free of charge from Southsea Common while there are tickets for the race village itself available from www.acwsportsmouth.com/
The Spinnaker Tower has also teamed with organisers to create a visitor ticket, according to the Portsmouth News.
The £45 pass gives guests breakfast in the tower’s Waterfront Café before they head to the World Series race village for close-up views of the racing.
After the racing, guests can take a trip to the top of the tower for a celebratory glass of prosecco.
We have fond memories of the Spinnaker Tower from our 25th anniversary party in 2014. A great night was had by all at a superb venue.
We’ve continue to grow and expand since then, with more staff and increasing demand for our services.
We have another busy week and hoping for plenty of sunshine over the weekend!
Have a great weekend too, whatever you are up to. Remember if you are househunting or planning home improvements, our experienced and friendly team can help with a wide range of services – including surveys of all kinds, project management and architectural design.
