Golf day was a super success

Our second charity golf day in association with ADN Financial Solutions was a tremendous success with 64 players joining in the fun.
Some 16 teams tackled the 18 hole challenge at Waterlooville Golf Club yesterday in aid of Help for Heroes and the Ickle Pickles charity for premature babies and seriously ill children.
We had £1,800 in the bag before even teeing off, thanks to the generosity of local businesses who each sponsored a hole.
There was a great spirit as teams teed off from 11am onwards – and plenty of competitions and fun along the way.
Congratulations to Edd Haddock and the team from Taylors Estate Agents for walking away with the winner’s trophy.
And the extravaganza continued into the evening with a gala dinner, raffle, charity auction and prizegiving.
Raffle prizes included a widescreen TV, a camera, wine, wine glasses and golfing equipment. Star lots in the auction included a signed Chelsea shirt, luxury hotel stays and a signed London Irish rugby ball.
We hope to have beaten our total of £3,400 from our last charity golf day in 2013.
Our great thanks go to all the players and businesses who joined in as well as Waterlooville Golf Club and all of those who donated auction and raffle prizes.
We’re also extremely grateful to hole sponsors who got us off to such a good start.
They included Brewers the Letting Agent, AND, Less Tax 2Pay, Deep South Media, Large and Gibson, McAndrew Martin, Corner Café, PPA, Bernards, Poseidon, Brunel, Hughes and King, Duncan Mason, Jeffries, Chinneck Shaw, Splice Marketing and Lendy Ltd.
We’ll keep you updated about the final total raised. And we’re also looking forward to our next golf day in 2016.
You can see all of the team pictures from the day on our Facebook page at
