Good luck England in Euro 2016!
Who do you think will win the Euro 2016 football championships?
Hopes are high – as usual – that England will come home covered in glory this time around. They kick off their campaign with their opening game against Russia tomorrow night in Marseille.
Successful performances in the Euros and World Cup always give the country a lift and a boost for the economy as they send fans flocking to the pub to watch games live and to the supermarket to stock up on supplies.
Hopefully, there won’t be a drag on productivity in workplaces on match days, or the day afterward!
With Portsmouth being such a great football city, they are sure to be thousands of fans cheering on the Three Lions over the coming week or so – and hopefully all the way to the final!
We’re hoping England claim the silverware but if they don’t many pundits say – rather predictably – that France or Germany will be celebrating at the end of the day.
The BBC website has some top tips about the favourites at http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36417119 while Sky Sports at http://www.skysports.com/ is always worth a look.
