Help for Heroes boost on Armistice Day
Our dedicated staff handed over proceeds from our 25th anniversary fundraiser to Help for Heroes today to mark Armistice Day.
We presented £785 to the charity’s local co-ordinator Kim Brindley.
The money was raised at our 25th anniversary celebration at the Spinnaker Tower earlier this year.
Kim, who is a former Royal Navy warfare officer, said: “It was an honour to receive this donation on behalf the charity and all of the wounded heroes it helps.
“Every penny of the proceeds will go towards helping wounded members of the armed forces returning from action.”
We joined Kim to observe a two minute silence at our Dundas Lane offices before the presentation.
One of our directors Ian Lee, who is pictured presenting the cheque to with Kim, said: “As a company in a naval city, we always try and support Help for Heroes.
“Our thanks go to everyone who helped to raise the money at the Spinnaker Tower at our anniversary celebrations, and Kim for kindly coming to collect the proceeds.”
Nearly 200 guests attended our silver celebration – dubbed 25 Years at the Top – at the iconic landmark in September.
We’re delighted to have raised a total of £4,300 for Help for Heroes over the past 12 months.
As one of the leading practices of chartered surveyors, engineers and architects in the Portsmouth and Hampshire area, we are keen to do all we can to help local charities.
