Hole lot of funds for baby charity
We’ve handed over a superb sum of £2,569 to the Ickle Pickles baby charity after our bumper golf day earlier this year.
The money was a share of proceeds raised when 64 golfers from property-related companies took part in our charity extravaganza at Waterlooville Golf Club in April.
Ickle Pickles will use the money to help premature and seriously ill babies by purchasing specialised equipment such as incubators and ventilators for neonatal units.
Chris Blackburn, a volunteer with Ickle Pickles, said: “These proceeds will help make a valuable difference to many young lives.
“We are extremely grateful to all at McAndrew Martin and those who took part in the golf day.”
We organised our second charity golf day in association with financial advisors ADN Financial Solutions of Southsea.
Our director Ian Lee and ADN director Dan Smith handed the donation to Chris.
Ian said: “Being able to present so much money for such a worthy cause was a testament to the tremendous efforts of all involved.
“Our thanks to all for making the golf day our most successful charitable event so far.”
A total of £5,138 was raised for good causes at the golf day. It included 16 teams tackling an 18-hole course, competitions, a raffle and prize giving dinner. Local businesses also sponsored holes to boost the funds.
We’re proud to have raised nearly £10,000 for charity over the past two years. As local firm with deep roots, we firmly believe in giving back to the community.
