It’s all systems go!
As we near the end of the year, we’re delighted to have set the seal on our merger with Veness Chartered Surveyors.
Led by Ken Veness, who founded the practice in 1973, they have relocated from their former offices in Cosham to our headquarters at the Fairway Business Centre in Portsmouth.
The acquisition is our second of 2014 – in our 25th anniversary year – after we welcomed Brunel Design Services in January.
Ian Lee, one of our directors, said: “Veness bring more than 40 years of experience and expertise to McAndrew Martin.
“The completion of the acquisition has gone very smoothly and we are pleased to welcome Ken and his team as part of the McAndrew Martin family.
“This expansion is the icing on the cake in our record 25th anniversary year and we look forward to building on our successful 2014 with Veness for many years to come.”
Veness was founded in 1973 and has many clients throughout Hampshire and Sussex, offering such services as residential and land surveys for private, public and commercial clients.
Ken Veness joins as a consultant along with chartered surveyor Alf Wimshurst and secretaries Tina Davies and Helen Taylor. The acquisition increases our staff numbers to 20.
Ken said: “We are all excited by this move.
“We look forward to sharing our many years of knowledge, expertise and experience to create one of the leading practices in the area.”
We announced plans for the new arrangement at our 25 Years at the Top celebration at the Spinnaker Tower earlier in the autumn.
This year we have also launched a Land and New Homes division, recorded a 40% increase in demand for surveys, re-launched our website and gained Safecontractor status.
We have raised £4,300 for Help for Heroes over the past 12 months, including £785 raised at its Spinnaker Tower event. The donation was handed over to the charity on Armistice Day.
