We would love to hear from you…

How many emails do you have in your inbox?
We are receiving more and more enquiries about our wide range of services as we become busier and busier.
Increasing numbers of clients now contact us electronically although many still phone, write or even drop into our offices at the Fairway Business Centre in Portsmouth.
We’re also finding greater numbers of people contacting us via this website, through our Twitter account, on LinkedIn and on Facebook.
We make sure we stay up to date with the latest innovations – in our business as well as in our communications – to provide the highest possible customer service.
We aim to turn around our reports and provide our services to the best standard in the quickest time, so it is vital that we handle our communications – including email – efficiently.
This is vital, whether it is for our comprehensive surveys, architecture and design or project management, risk assessments, conservation and property related services.
There’s an interesting article on the Entrepreneur website about the issue of emails. It is titled, somewhat provocatively, Punch Your Inbox in the Face.
Whilst we wouldn’t advocate or endorse any such behaviour, the article does include some good pointers about email – and is designed to challenge thinking about the issue.
In it, John Meyer suggests several top tips. They include setting boundaries for email, such as checking only at certain times of the day but make sure the arrangements work for you.
He also suggests setting up an auto-reply thanking senders for their messages and advising patience for a formal reply.
Other tips include banning replying to emails between 6pm and 6am and also writing better emails – this means keeping them short and succinct but polite.
Finally, don’t let the inbox control you – make sure you control the inbox. You can read more here: http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/239815
And don’t forget you can email us at [email protected] or contact us on Twitter under @McAndrewMartin or on Facebook and LinkedIn.
Of course, we will always be happy to talk on the phone on 02392 697 193 or see you in person as well!
